The city of Papagaios (MG) is the main producer, distributor and exporter city of the region known as “Slate Province of Minas Gerais”. This is due to the slate rock reserves that spread through almost every inch of the city’s ground. Not only the extension, but also the quality of the slate rock found there in four main variations of color [type]: gray, graphite, black e rust.
It is in this wealthy region that MINERAR was born, back in 1986, directly working in quarry and supplying slate rock to local sellers.
